Coughs might not hit you like the flu or a cold, but they can be annoying and hard to get rid of.
They make it hard to sleep, leaving you tired all day. And at their worst, they can make you feel like your lungs are about to come out of your throat.
Making matters worse, there aren’t really any good cough cures the way there are for sore throat and headaches.
Over-the-counter cough medicines don’t help much and they make you tired and groggy.
But we’ve finally found a good way to soothe coughs.
It’s easy, cheap, and above all — it works!
The solution? Honey wraps. You put them on your chest and they help reduce coughing (and phlegm, too). Plus, they’re especially good for children, since kids shouldn’t really take strong cough medications.
What you need:
- 1 tablespoon of organic honey
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon of flour
- A napkin or piece of fabric
- Medical tape
How to make it:
Warm the coconut oil and then mix it with the honey and flour. Pour the mixture onto a napkin and tape it to the chest.
If the person with the cough is a child, leave the patch on for two to three hours. If the person is an adult, they can leave it on overnight.
You can repeat the procedure several times a week, until the cough subsides or is completely gone.
You can also add a splash of vodka to the mixture if the person with a cough is an adult.
So if you have a persistent cough and want to try something that will actually help, this is for you!
Please share this trick with your friends on Facebook. They’ll thank you!
