On August 9, Fairfield Police Department’s Quality of Life Unit investigated the Grace Richardson Open Space area in Fairfield, Connecticut. They had previously received several reports from concerned citizens about the area.
During their surveillance, detectives reported observed several violations. Arrests were made shortly after.
In the beginning of August, six senior citizens, five men and one woman, were arrested for allegedly having sex in public. Magazines and condoms were also found in the area, according to Complex.
The Connecticut Post reported that two of those involved were over 80, while the rest were 62 to 75 years old. According to reports those who were arrested include: Daniel Dobbins, 67; Otto D. Williams, 62; Charles L. Ardito, 75; John Linartz, 62; Richard Butler, 82; and Joyce Butler, 85.
All of the senior citizens were arrested and charged with breach of peace and two were also charged with public indecency.
Six senior citizens were caught having sex in a Connecticut conservation area.
This was not the first time Daniel Dobbins was caught in the act. Reportedly, in 2017 he was charged with breach of peace after police discovered him in his car with his clothes draped over him. He told police he was naked for medical reasons.
Police reportedly found ads for the conservation area advertising the area as a meetup place for sex. Other locations in Fairfield were also listed.
All were released under the promise that they would return to court.
