The three robbers thought 77-year-old Winifred Peel would be an easy target.
But the young thugs couldn’t have been more wrong.
And the only beating given out was done by the retired grandmother, reports the Metro.
Winifred Peel from Wirral, England may be 77 years old and retired, but she’s not someone you want to mess with.
And the three young men pictured below learned that lesson the hard way.
While Winifred was withdrawing money from an ATM, the three men tried to mug her.
But Winifred fought back and managed to grab hold of one of the men. She took the man’s head and smashed it three times against the ATM.
The robbers quickly fled the scene, probably shocked at what just happened.
The police, however, soon captured the men, Piper Dumitru, Florin Geblescu, and Felix Stoica—and all three were later convicted of attempted robbery.

The prosecutor believes that the men were looking for easy victims and preyed on 77-year-old Winifred.
