Putting your child in the hands of another takes a lot of trust that’s why it takes some parents what seems like forever to find the perfect day care facility for their little one.
Taylor Bush thought she found the perfect place. It was conveniently located and the owner had been in the business for 15 years, but now she’s questioning her decision.
“When you handed me my daughter, my daughter was basically already dead,” Taylor told FOX 8.
On June 18, Taylor Bush went to Nana’s Home Daycare in Cleveland to pick up her 2-month-old daughter, Di’Yanni Griffin. But when she held her Taylor immediately realized something was wrong.
“So I go to walk out the door and I close the door behind me so I’m like, ‘Hey, mama baby.’ I realize her neck is, just, she’s just lifeless,” Taylor said.
Yesterday was the worst day of my life 😔 I lost my beautiful baby girl , I feel so hurt so broken , so lifeless .

She reportedly went back into the day care to begin CPR and call 911. An ambulance transported Di’Yanni to the hospital, but it was too late. The 2-month-old was pronounced dead.
Danielle Townsend, the day care’s owner, was not present at the time, but insisted Di’Yanni was alive while she was at the day care.
“My sister calls me and says, ‘Call her mother,'” Danielle said. “I said, ‘Well, her mother just texted me; what’s wrong?’ She said, ‘The baby is breathing fast.'”
No one called 911.
Danielle reportedly attempted to contact Taylor, but couldn’t reach her because Taylor was already on her way. Taylor disputes this claim.

Multiple investigations have been opened following the infant’s death. According to FOX 8, Cleveland police are waiting for the child’s autopsy to determine if they need to continue their inquiry.
The Cuyahoga County Children and Family Services is also investigating Di’Yanni’s death, and the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services is questioning the day care facility.
This is an absolute tragedy and now Taylor blames herself.
The day care workers should have called 911 when they noticed Di’Yanni’s breathing patterns.
If the 2-month-old’s death is determined to be suspicious I hope someone is punished.
