Lancia Isaac is asking for her community’s help in “sending my babygirl back to God” after her daughter, Brooklyn, tragically died after being left in a hot daycare center van for nearly five hours.
The heartbroken Florida mother set up a GoFundMe page and a Facebook page to help cover the costs of the 4-month-old’s funeral.
According to the police, Brooklyn was left in the van all morning and employees only realized she was missing when Isaac contacted them to make arrangements to pick up her daughter and two older children.
“The team of doctors and nurses did everything in their power to save my beautiful baby girl but she couldn’t be revived,” she wrote on Facebook.
“The tragedy has left our city outraged and full of sorrow,” the grieving mother continued. “My family is in shambles and with so many unanswered questions.”
“I come to you all today as humble and as most importantly a grieving mother and ask for your help in helping laying my babygirl to rest.”
So far Isaac has raised over $20,000 for Brooklyn’s funeral. If you would like to donate you can visit her GoFundMe page or Facebook page.
Darryl Ewing, co-owner of the day care and driver of the van that day, was arrested on a charge of child neglect.
Lancia Isaac needs our help. Her daughter, Brooklyn, was tragically taken from her, and now she just wants to give her a proper burial.
If you can help, please share this story, and please send your prayers to Lancia.
