American comedian Amy Schumer recently held a show in Stockholm, Sweden. Before even beginning – she was hackled by a man in the audience.
“Show us your tits!” he shouted loudly.
Amy quickly – and rather brilliantly took care of the incident – ultimately having him escorted out of her show by security – without refund. The incident made headlines everywhere, with many praising and supporting Amy’s swift response.
Meanwhile, however, in the crowd was Swedish actress Mia Skäringer, who watched as the events unfolded. Deeply bothered, Mia later took to Facebook to shed a new – and less comedic light- on the events of that day.
Here is her powerful post below. A must-read for every woman and man.
Here is what Mia had to say: (translated from Swedish – note some strong language below).
Amy Schumer is in Sweden. From within the large crowd, a man in row five (with an expensive ticket) suddenly shouts: ‘Show us your tits!’
I stay quiet as I generally do, but inside my pocket, my hand is tightly clenched.
‘Have you ever had a cock stuck down your throat against your will? Or been fucked while you were unconscious?’ I want to ask.
‘Have you cycled home without panties in the middle of the night, with your labia scathing on your saddle because someone flushed your panties down the toilet (after he fucked you while you were unconscious)?’
‘Have you ever had a baby and thought you will die of pain as its head pressed itself out of a hole as big as your mouth? (Or that they cut up along the sides with a cold pair of scissors so that the head can make its way out (without anesthesia)? Cuz, if they don’t cut you up, your mouth will be open from ear to ear, and you’ll look just like the Joker from Batman for the rest of your life.’
‘Have you heard comments about your scrotum or cock at work? ‘Oh, what nice big balls you have.’ ‘Sure, you’re pretty good at your job, but can’t you just show us a little cock…?’
‘Have you ever had someone pinch your hard cock in the school cafeteria, had a finger poked into your asshole on your way to the gym, referred to you as ‘fuckable’?’
‘Is he fuckable?’
‘Who? Him with the cute face and fat ass?’
(Perhaps you share my six years experience of eating disorders and self-abuse, with periods that never came and breasts that stopped growing as a consequence?)
‘Recognize any of the above?’
‘Hmm.. Not really…’
‘Oh, ok. Anything else important you wanted to say? Say it now. You can safely borrow her mic, here, take mine as well. Take your chance now, cuz it’s just about to be too late…”
Cuz I‘ve had so much patience.
And now I’m done.
No more fucks to give.
I’m now going to be a fucking badass.”
Hundreds have since reacted to Mia’s strong comments, “You’re the best! I cried when I read this,” one reader wrote.

I think Mia’s words, while very intense, are powerful and poignant. Way too many women can recognize and understand what she means. Please share her message if you agree.
