Man fired after seen inside the U.S. Capitol during riots wearing his work ID

A man who was seen with the mob who stormed the U.S. Capitol building on Wednesday has been fired by his company after he was spotted wearing his company badge.

Thousands of rioters had gathered at the National Mall, in Washington DC, to protest the election results. Protesters broke through police barricades, and entered the Capitol forcing officials to go into hiding.

Navistar Direct Marketing said it had ‘terminated’ one of its employees after seeing his photograph online.

“Navistar Direct Marketing was made aware that a man wearing a Navistar company badge was seen inside the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, during the security breach. After review of the photographic evidence the employee in question has been terminated for cause,” Newsweek reported citing a company statement.

I don’t think anyone can argue at the stupidity of this man let alone the dangerous activities he made the decision to be part of on Wednesday.

We’re all still trying to process the enormity of these events and my heart goes out to the families of those people who lost their lives.

I hope those responsible for the violence and the fear our lawmakers felt as a result of their actions are properly dealt with. Please share.
