Hours after an Amber Alert was issued and shortly after the family received a mysterious phone call, Sanchez reappeared on the same block where she disappeared.

“We was at the pole over there, looking at her picture, and we walked up the block, she was crossing the street to to the the cop car, and I was like ‘Yo, that’s her right there,’” Tommy Feliciano told CBS2.

The 16-year-old, who appeared “shaken up,” presented herself to police.

According to the New York Post, Sanchez admitted to the police that the kidnapping was a hoax and possibly an attempt to get away from her “overprotective” mother.

During police questioning, it was revealed that Sanchez’s mother planned to move the family to their native Honduras, something the 16-year-old strongly opposed.

Investigators are still interested in speaking with the four men involved with the alleged kidnapping. It is unclear whether Sanchez or her accomplices will face criminal charges.

Wow. This is unbelievable. And to think the entire country was looking for this teen. I really hope whatever is going on with her and her family can be solved.
