For much of the world, winter is well on its way. We all know what that means: time to pick up your hat, gloves and winter boots and brace for the cold. But if you’re like me, you actually love how beautiful snow can make everything appear.
One less desirable impact of snow, is of course, the way it accummulates on, well, everything – the roads, our front porches, and of course, our cars.
But here’s a story that takes the expression ‘snowed-in car’ to a whole new level! Now this is what I call winter!
The story takes place in Kamchatka, in the upper north eastern corner of Russia. A man takes a picture from his window of his car. Seems he already knows from expereince that you have to remember where you parked your car…
… Indeed, when the man woke up the next day, his car was virtually gone.
But that’s not all – even his five-story building is covered in snow. Not so easy to get out, especially if you live on the first floor …
… But if you live on an upper floor, why not consider skiing down?
If you’re lucky, you may manage to get out of the building and if you’re extra lucky you might be able to dig out your car. But, the truth is, what does it matter, when the roads are still buried under masses of snow.
This kind of situation is actually typical in Kamchatka.
Here’s what it might look like after your car has been snowed out.
… You then have to carefully navigate through mazes created throughout the city following the snow removal.
Looks like you might be better off taking a walk!
Now that’s what I call winter! Share these amazing images if you were blown away, too!
