So when it was time for their granddaughter’s birthday, of course, the couple pulled out all the stops to make it a special one for their little girl.
Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn have been together for a while. The actors have been in a monogamous and committed relationship for almost 40 years. Over the course of that time, the couple has created a beautiful blended family that is incredibly close to one another.
When the couple started dating, Goldie Hawn already had two children with her ex-husband, Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson. Kurt Russell has famously treated both children like his own and made sure to always be the father figure they needed.
In fact, on many occasions, Kate Hudson has talked about how Russell has been the father figure in her life as her biological father was largely absent for most of her life.
Even when Goldie and Kurt welcomed their son Wyatt Russell together, he made sure to treat all the kids with the same amount of love; which is not something everyone can do.
And as Goldie and Kurt became grandparents, they made sure to give their grandchildren the same amount of love they gave all three of the children. Kate Hudson’s first born with her partner Danny Fujikawa, Rani turned 4 years old on October 2. Of course, this meant the entire family joined in on the celebration.
Even though Kate Hudson is not biologically related to Kurt Russell, the pair of them share a very special bond. Hudson often posts dedications for Russell on her Instagram account, celebrating him on Father’s Day and more.
And similarly, Russell is a sweet grandfather figure to Kate’s daughter Rani. On her birthday with a seemingly Princess theme, the little girl seemed to have request everyone to strictly adhere to a specific dress code.
Grandma Goldie Hawn and grandpa Kurt Russell took the task seriously and showed up in beautiful matching costumes of Cinderella and Prince Charming.
Goldie Hawn posted a picture of the occasion, posing with their granddaughter who was decked out in a Princess costume herself.

The family seems to be incredibly close, even Kate Hudson posted a few pictures in honor of her daughter’s birthday, wishing her a wonderful day. She added a picture of her little girl with her grandmother, sharing a sweet kiss on her birthday.
This family is so incredibly sweet and close to one another. Their closeness is a great thing to see in this day and age.
