Granger Smith’s 3-year-old son, River, is dead.
The famous singer shared the heartbreaking news on his Instagram account Thursday.
According to the country singer, River’s death was a “tragic accident.”
On Thursday (June 6) Granger Smith delivered the awful news.
“I have to deliver unthinkable news. We’ve lost our youngest son, River Kelly Smith,” he wrote alongside a photo of River.
“Following a tragic accident, and despite doctor’s best efforts, he was unable to be revived.”
According to the Instagram post, Granger and his wife, Amber, “made the decision to say our last goodbyes and donate his organs so that other children will be given a second chance at life.”
“The joy he brought to our lives cannot be expressed and his light will be forever in our hearts.”
Granger and Amber also have a daughter named London, 7, and a son named Lincoln, 5.
According to reports, the country singer canceled his show for Thursday night.
