Angelica Hale stole all of our hearts the first time we heard the little girl’s story and listened to her incredible voice.
She took the America’s Got Talent stage once again on July 18, and once more her talent blew us all away.
However — not everyone was convinced she had what it took when she first revealed the song she would sing.
When the adorable 9-year-old girl took the stage on Tuesday night, she looked as cute as ever in shiny pink and silver sneakers. Celebrity judge Heidi Klum asked Angelica if she felt more nervous than the previous time she’d been on stage, to which she sweetly responded, “A little more nervous actually, but so excited.”
She then revealed she’d be singing the popular song “Girl On Fire” by Alicia Keys. You can see the look on infamous judge Simon Cowell’s face — he’s not convinced. After all, it’s not an easy song to sing.
When you hear Angelica speak it’s hard to imagine that the same girl has the powerful singing voice that comes out of her when the song begins. It truly leaves everyone amazed.
In fact, one particular judge, Chris Hardwick, was so impressed that he pressed the ‘Golden Buzzer’ after her performance. The Golden Buzzer was introduced during the show’s 9th season. Each judge may press it once during each season. It gives judges the opportunity to immediately send a contestant through to the live semi-finals.
