Simon Cowell has worked in the music industry for many years. With that experience behind him, he has in various talent shows become known as a judge with a sharp eye for talent – and one that does not hold back his criticism. For he knows what it takes to succeed in an industry where competition is fierce. With this in mind, I can’t even imagine how nervous young 12-year-old Grace VanderWaal felt when she stood in front of the America’s Got Talent jury. When she tells you what song she chose the jury at first seem a little skeptical… but their minds would soon change. Grace’s brilliant, unique voice, soon knocks them off their feet – as does her natural talent with her ukulele. Within seconds of listening to the jury’s feedback, “The Golden Buzzer” is pressed – meaning Grace is heading straight for the live show, a tremendous feat. The crowd is on its feet – and I have goosebumps all over. I think Simon Cowell’s prediction for little Grace is entirely right.
