It took me a while to really get into Johnny Cash, but once I did, I could understand why so many are hooked. One of the first songs I heard was his classic “Ring of Fire”. I’ll never forget it — I discovered it on an old CD that my grandma and grandpa had in their camper while we were out camping one weekend. That weekend, I listened to him over and over again. Through the years, we’ve heard hundreds, probably thousands, of interpretations of Cash songs. But I don’t think I’ve ever heard any quite like this. And… the kid is 15. His name is Vince Mira, and let me say that I’m not surprised in the least that this clip of him performing a classic Cash tune has been viewed by over 2 million on Youtube. I’ve already listened to it about 10 times now. As soon as he opens his mouth, he enchants the audience and anyone who’s listening. Try to close your eyes while listening, it’s unbelievable.
