A man has been charged with assault after reportedly being captured by CCTV cameras in the act of stabbing a female with a syringe full of semen.
According to reports, Thomas Byron Stemen, 51, was in possession of multiple syringes filled with the liquid. He was apprehended after purportedly stabbing a female victim – later identified as one Katie Peters – in the backside.
Peters told officers in Maryland that she had been assaulted with something that felt like a needle. When Stemen’s vehicle was searched, a large syringe was found filled with semen in it. Several more syringes were then recovered from his home.
Maryland police have since released footage of the alleged attacker following Peters into the store. She’s putting shopping in her cart when the man appears to bump into her, causing her to turn around in sudden alarm.
Peters told officers she had been stabbed by what she thought was a needle. She was thereafter forced to go for blood and urine tests, as well as take anti-disease medication for 30 days.
As per reports, Stemen stands accused of assaulting a further two women after attempting to inject them at the same Anne Arundel County supermarket.
Peters explained to WJZ that Stemen told her: “I know it feels like a bee sting, doesn’t it?”
Then, when she was on the way home, Peters began to experience pain.
“I started driving home (and) it started hurting really bad. I called my son and said, ‘Something’s not right, I hope nothing happens. I hope I make it home, I love you.'”
Stemen has been charged with first and second degree assault and reckless endangerment. He is currently being held without bond.
Meanwhile, detectives are urging people to report suspicious incidents that may be tied to the case.
What a scary world we live in. I hope if Stemens is found guilty he receives a punishment that fits the crime.
