Ivy Thompson, from Seattle, USA, saw the opportunity to create her own beautiful ball gown for a masquerade ball. She posted pictures and a video of her in the dress and they went viral! You’ll understand why when you see for yourself. Just read on below:
Ivy wanted to surprise all the other guests with something special, so she sewed an extra element into the dress that would leave guests speechless.
In the video she posted, Ivy explains that she’s never taken a sewing lesson but grew up around her mom and grandma who liked to sew. She applied herself and determined that she, too, would learn how to sew. Low and behold, she became rather good …
Inspired by Cinderella
Ivy took her original inspiration from the much-loved Disney movie Cinderella. But then added a unique twist which made heads turn when she showed up at the ball.
As you can see from the video below Ivy doesn’t turn into a pumpkin but a butterfly!
