Melanie and Vanessa Iris Roy posted their mom pictures – where they stand side by side – on Instagram. But they probably didn’t expect the coverage they would get. Now, the pictures are being shared like a wildfire online.
The pictures are taken with an interval of one year. The first one, where Vanessa carried their son Jax in January 2014. Exactly one year later they took the photo of Melanie when she carried Ero.
Two months ago, the couple posted the pictures on Instagram, but it was first two weeks ago they became a viral phenomenon. For example, the pictures got 150 000 likes on a Brazilian Facebook page.
– It’s crazy to see that people were referring to my family as an inspiration. We are still in complete shock, Melanie told The Huffington Post.
After all the attention they’ve got, they hope that the photos can serve as encouragement to other lesbian couples.
