Texas dad and federal worker Michael Hejduk was affected by a government shut down last year and he and his family relied on the kindness of others to get them through.
Thankfully, they came through their tough financial situation and wanted to pay the kindness of others forward by giving back to their local community.
They started fostering children and met six siblings in need of a loving family – and the love came easy for this beautiful brood.
Even though Michael and his wife Heather already have four kids they wanted these six siblings to be part of their family and just last week their dream came true.
“Pure joy, because they’re ours really. I mean they’ve been ours, but now nobody can change that,” said Heather.
The adoption event took place via Zoom and more than 50 people joined in to congratulate the family.
Such a beautiful family! It just goes to show the effect helping each other out has on the human spirit.
The help this family received during tough financial times from the community around them prompted them to connect with their local community in the most amazing way.
Help us send this family all the congratulations by sharing this story.
