Occasionally when you order something online there’s a little disclaimer that the product might look slightly different when you receive it. Usually this is in reference to a product’s color, not something as major as the print on an item.
When a mom from Illinois received a recent order from one of her favorite stores on AliExpress, an Etsy-like retailer in China, she was shocked.
The innocent shirt she thought she purchased for her three-year-old daughter featured a meme. And it wasn’t exactly kid-friendly.
“I literally did not know how to react so I just took a few moments to stare at it and try to process,” Kelsey Dawn Williamson told BuzzFeed News.
Williamson said she ordered a t-shirt with an image of Frog and Toad from the classic children’s book for her three-year-old daughter, Salem, from AliExpress, an online retailer based in China.
Despite the oddly long name, “”Kids Two Frog Riding Design Baby Boys/Girl TShirt Kids Funny Short Sleeve Tops Children Cute T-Shirt,” Williamson didn’t expect anything to be wrong with the shirt.
“Salem probably has 50-plus different little boutique outfits from my favorite store on AliExpress.”
When the shirt arrived, it was not as advertised.

As soon as she took it out of the package she realized something was wrong, very wrong.
“Of all the things they could have added, why that? On a children’s-size shirt?”
Underneath the image of Frog and Toad, someone added “f*** the police.” Her daughter’s cute t-shirt was now a meme.
She told BuzzFeed News she FaceTimed her husband and they couldn’t get over the mistake… or was it?
“We both just lost it, dying of laughter. All he could say was ‘Oh shit,'” she said.
Williamson found the mistake hysterical.

Since Williamson couldn’t stop laughing at the hilarious mixup, and her daughter was a fan of the shirt even despite not being able to read, she had to share it on Facebook.
It’s since gone viral.
“I’ve told [Salem], ‘People really like your frog shirt!'” she said.
As for what will happen to the shirt when Salem outgrows it?
“It’s going in her baby box so we can bring it up when she’s older.”
As it should.
What do you think of the shirt? Would you have kept it and laughed or would you have been annoyed and want a refund?
