The fact that there are sites online where you can give away unwanted pets is familiar enough to most people.
But the fact that there are similar sites for children was certainly frightening news to me.
Adoption is a long process that can be both time consuming and costly, but that process ensures that the child ends up with a stable, loving home.
Because once that child has been adopted and given back once, he or she definitely won’t want to experience anything like that again.
But that’s exactly what happened to an orphan named Dmitri from Russia. He was three years when he and his older brother, Andrey, were adopted by a family in the United States. At first, the adoption went well and Dmitri was happy to escape the orphanage.
But soon, his adoptive mother became pregnant. And it was when the family’s biological child was born that life became a living hell for Dmitri.
Suddenly, the boy was no longer wanted and his parents began to neglect him.
Finally, when Dimitri was 13 years old, his adoptive parents decided that it was time to get rid of him. But not just any way.
They chose to give Dimitri up illegally without notifying any authorities.
On the surface, the woman who ended up taking Dimitri seemed good, but no one could have imagined how bad it would actually be.
Dimitri’s new adoptive mother, Nicole Eason, had previously lost custody of her children. She had been married to a pedophile and was found to be unfit as a mother.
She ran a home school and put out an online ad saying she wanted to adopt a child. And it was here that Dmitri ended up.
Luckily, a kind-hearted neighbor informed the authorities about the truth about Nicole Eason. As a result, Dmitri was taken in by a foster family where he finally felt loved.
Today, Dmitri is 20 years old and wants to share the story of his horrible childhood with others.
