Sometimes people just leave me perplexed.
Most of us have been taught from our earliest beginnings to respect other people’s land and property.
Apparently, though, there remain those who don’t care so much for others. Take a recent case in California, for example, where a stranger decided to dump his trash on a farmer’s land.
Fortunately, the conclusion of this particular story is one that fits well with the old ‘he who laughs last, laughs longest’ adage.
The farmer certainly got the last word, that’s for sure…
The beautiful farmhouse below lies in California. We know what you’re thinking; no one could possibly want to defile such a place. Right?
Wrong.
One man decided to empty his trash – of which there was a lot – all over the ground. He cared nothing for the fact the land was private.
It’s often difficult to track down those responsible for dumping trash. Unless there’s been a witness to the crime, or else they’re caught on CCTV, finding them is hard.
This particular offender, however, was caught very much by his own hand.
For when the farmer gathered the junk up, he saw a letter. The envelope had been opened, and when the farmer took a peek inside he found the home address of the culprit who had soiled his land.
And so the farmer decided to exact his revenge in the most brilliant of ways. He collected up all of the trash and transported it back to the home of the stranger. After all, he surely wanted back what he had “forgotten”.
One might say the offender got exactly what he deserved. In any case, he was certainly taught a lesson from Lady Karma!
