If you’ve ever delivered a baby, you’ll be all to aware of the amount of pain your body is capable of going through in the process.
Spare a thought, then, for one mom who delivered a set of sextuplets within NINE minutes on March 15.
The babies, made up of two sets of twin boys and one set of twin girls, were delivered by Thelma Chiaki at the Woman’s Hospital of Texas in Houston. A picture of the mom, taken shorty after the birth, is now going viral on Facebook for all the right reasons …
When Thelma Chiaki fell pregnant, she was likely overjoyed at the prospect of bringing new life into the world. Little did she know she was destined to deliver a whopping SIX children.
As per reports, all six weighed in just shy of 2 pounds when they were born between 4:50am and 4:59am on March 15. They’re all in a stable condition in the NICU, with Thelma’s medical team watching over them.
Thelma has named her girls – Zina and Zuriel – but as yet isn’t quite sure on what she wants to name her four boys!
Slim odds
Incredibly, the odds of giving birth to sextuplets are 1 in 4.7 billion, which makes Thelma’s babies rare indeed.
Nevertheless, miracles do happen, and it’s great to see both mother and children doing well in the aftermath of what must have been quite an intense ordeal.

Bringing one child into the world is an incredible feeling. I can only imagine Thelma’s pride at having blessed the earth with no less than six new souls.
The days, months, and years ahead may prove trying (six children is a lot of work), but there’s no doubt Thelma is part of something special here!
