Daughter cuts herself on playground slide – now mom is warning other parents about this danger

Amy Smith and her two-year daughter, Demi-Mai, were just looking to have a nice time at Kitson Park in Torquay, England.

But their fun turned into a nightmare when little Demi-Mai cut her leg on broken glass on a slide. Amy suspects that someone put the glass there on purpose—and now she’s warning other parents about it.

Demi-Mai and her mom are no strangers to Kitson Park, and the little girl had just learned to climb the rope that leads to the top of the slide. Mother Amy was proud of her daughter, cheering her on as the toddler climbed the rope and slid triumphantly down. But, then suddenly, the worst thing a parent could ever imagine for their child happened. Demi-Mai slid over a broken glass bottle, and blood started streaming down her legs.

Amy immediately took her daughter to the hospital, where Demi-Mai had her wounds cleaned up. Fortunately, the little girl didn’t need stitches – just time to heal. Amy contacted those responsible for the playground and requested that they clean up the glass before anyone else got hurt.

“I’m really angry that someone would do that in a children’s play park,” Amy told the Mirror.

Amy suspects that someone broke a glass bottle and placed it on the slide on purpose. And now she’s talking to the media talk about the incident and urging other parents to be vigilant when they take their kids to public playgrounds.

“I hope by bring what happened to people’s attention then it might help other parents avoid their children getting hurt,” Amy told the Mirror.

I really can’t understand what someone who purposely breaks glass in a playground could be thinking. And if it wasn’t on purpose, people should pick up after themselves if they accidentally break a bottle. It’s common courtesy—especially in places where children go.

Please share Amy’s warning so that no children are exposed to dangers like this!
