Thanks to James Corden, host of “The Late Late Show,” singing your heart out in the car has never been more popular. I’ve really enjoyed all of his “Carpool Karaoke” segments so far, including the one with Gwen Stefani, George Clooney, And Julia Roberts. And Corden doesn’t even need to be involved to make singing in the car adorable. Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman totally won me over when they lovingly sang one of Urban’s songs in the car together recently. But there’s something about seeing regular folks sing in the car like no one’s watching that really makes me smile. Maybe it’s because I do the same thing, but seeing the father and son croon an old jazz standard together in the video below melted my heart. As Matt Clayton and his son, Archie, drive around town, they belt out old Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. classic, “Me and My Shadow.” And when you hear Matt sing, you won’t be surprised to learn that he spends his free time singing in a local band.
