But quite often we get in and out of the shop as quickly as we can, by finding the item and immediately heading for the till.
But when Belinda Hankins sent her 13-year-old daughter to a shop to get ‘feminine hygiene products’, the task seemed to be far from simple.
The hilarious text message conversation she had with her hilarious daughter – later uploaded on Facebook – shows just how difficult it can be.
