Many dream of becoming parents some day. However, despite praying and wishing for it to happen, not all women can get pregnant.
That’s when the beauty of adoption comes into the picture, where one gives a child a second chance in life.
Utah couple Joseph and Shanna Weight decided to adopt Milo in 2013. They raised him in a loving home, but last year, they got an unexpected call from the birth mother. She had huge news, something that would change their lives forever.
Joseph and Shanna Weight had the life many dream about. Their marriage was solid and their friends all said they would be great parents.
The couple, who lived in Elk Ridge, Utah, tried over and over again, but Shanna couldn’t get pregnant. They discovered that they were infertile. Still, they really wanted a child.
Therefore, Joseph and Shanna decided to adopt.
After a long process, the couple got the green light. And one day they finally got their beloved kid, Milo.
Milo’s birth mother was a teenager who couldn’t take care of him because of a set of unfortunate circumstances. At the same time, she would soon learn that Milo was going to live in a home full of love.
Joseph and Shanna were thrilled. But soon the couple would get another big surprise.
It turned out Shanna was pregnant. Milo was going to be a big brother!
Now there were two kids in the house. Milo taught his younger brother all he knew.
When he was 6 years old, the family got their next surprise. This time from Milo’s birth mother.
Joseph and Shanna learned that she was pregnant again, but she realized she wouldn’t be able to care for the baby. She asked Joseph and Shanna if they would consider adopting her.
At first, the couple didn’t know if it was a good idea since they already had their hands full with two kids. But in the end love prevailed.
Milo was going to be raised together with two younger siblings, and one of them would be his biological sister.
Milo had overheard his parents talking about adopting the sweet little girl and soon he got to hear the amazing news.
In February last year, the little sweetheart Onni Pearl was born and Joseph and Shanna couldn’t have been more excited.
Now, the family of five will share plenty of memories together and share a loving home for years to come.
We’re so happy that Joseph and Shanna got to adopt both Milo and Onni Pearl, two children reunited in a new loving family.
