A couple’s first dance is one of the most beautiful parts of any wedding, and when done right, it can be a moment that the newlyweds will remember for the rest of their lives. So when Asia and Maciek planned their wedding, they didn’t want a forgettable first dance as husband and wife. Instead, they decided to make it memorable for everyone, themselves included.
The scene in “Dirty Dancing” when Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey dance to “The Time of My Life” is probably one of the most iconic scenes in movie history. So for Asia and Maciek—who obviously love this scene—recreating it at their reception was an obvious choice for their first dance.
None of their wedding guests knew that the couple had in store for them. And talk about a surprise! Asia and Maciek recreated the 1987 dance scene, lift and all!
