Alexandra Grant: Everything you need to know about Keanu Reeves’ new girlfriend

Keanu Reeves sent the internet into meltdown this weekend after appearing on the red carpet of LACMA Art + Film Gala with a new girlfriend on his arm.

Yep, that’s right, after decades of being single, and only earlier this year admitting he felt lonely, it would appear Keanu is no longer on the market *cue heartbreak everywhere.

No sooner had pics of Keanu and his partner hit the web did fans the world over implode. But just who is this woman who appears to have won The Matrix star’s affections?

Unsurprisingly, there are a great many people who want to know. We can’t promise to have the inside scoop on things, but we’ll do our best to enlighten you some …

You may not have heard of 46-year-old Alexandra Grant before, but her and Keanu Reeves have been business collaborators since 2011.

As per the Daily Mail, Grant hails from Ohio originally, but experienced an upbringing in various parts of the world. She’s been working within the arts sector since she graduated from Swarthmore College, Pennsylvania in 1994.

It’s reported that Grant and Reeves first met in 2011, with the former going on to provide the art for books Ode to Happiness and Shadows – two volumes of poetry written by Keanu.

Not just that, but Grant’s art has been on display in various galleries across the globe. Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), Galerie Gradiva in Paris, and The Harris Lieberman Gallery in New York count amongst these spaces.

It was perhaps in 2017 that the world got the first hint of a connection growing between Grant and Reeves, however. At least in as much as they were getting along well.

The pair founded publishing company X Artists’ Books together, the aim being to focus on unusual collaborations and books that find themselves between genres.

In an interview with LA Weekly, Grant said: “‘Artist is the best word for all the things that I love to do and have been doing pretty consistently since I was a child: reading, staring into space, daydreaming, inventing symphonic-scale projects whether a chemistry experiment or growing seeds into plants, finding meaning in the patterns of bathroom tiles and cracks in the ceiling.”

We hope that’s clarified some points up! Here’s to wishing Keanu Reeves and Alexander Grant a happy future together.
