To breastfeed a child is one of the most natural, and I would say even beautiful acts in the world. Despite this, many still seem to have great trouble accepting it. Personally, I find this hard to understand. If you see a mother breastfeeding her child at a cafe, restaurant or in any public space, I figure it’s not that hard to look the other way if it bothers you that much? This is precisely what happened to a woman named Ashley Kaidel. A stranger recently stared at her and shook her head in disapproval as she breastfed her son at a restaurant. This upset Ashley, who stared right back, and later sat and wrote … well a darn epic Facebook post on the controversial topic – which as far as I’m concerned should not be controversial at all in 2015. In just three days, Ashley’s post has been shared by close to 100,000 people and received nearly 300,000 likes. Her relatively long the post is well worth the read from beginning to end. Take a look below.
Here’s her original Facebook post:
To me, it’s obvious that all mothers should be able to breastfeed their children whenever – and wherever they want.
