A three-year-old boy has fallen to his death from an apartment block’s fourth floor after celebrating his third birthday.
According to Metro, Eduard Popadiuc fell from Bridge Court tower block in London on November 1. Staff from the nursery next door rushed to begin administering first aid, but it wasn’t enough to save his life.
Eduard died later that day in hospital.
Heartbreak
The toddler had spent the day celebrating his third birthday with friends. Earlier on in the day, father Alexandru posted a picture of Eduard on Facebook with the caption: “Happy birthday Daddy’s love!!”
Alexandru said of the tragic accident: “I don’t want to cry anymore, I do it all day and all night. He is our angel now.”
Mary Da Costa, manager of Little Aisha Nursey, where Eduard had spent his last day playing, has set up a GoFund Me page to help support the grieving family.
“On Friday November 1, Edward was celebrating his third birthday – his very first birthday with us,” it reads.
“Edward left happy and smiling but unfortunately soon after he left the nursery to go home he had a tragic accident and fell from the fourth floor.
“Because of the proximity of the nursery to Edwards house, Little Aisha staff members administered first aid to try and save Edward but it is with a heavy heart that we inform you that he sadly passed.”
Rest in peace, baby Eduard. We’re sending all our thoughts and prayers to his family; we’re truly sorry for your loss.
