2 surgeons serenade patients in hospital: Their performance will make you fall in love

The vast majority of people think of surgeons as being a high-paid and in a job that brings numerous benefits and a great deal of social gravitas.

What people often don’t take into account is the constant pressure and scrutiny – you’re sometimes literally the difference between life and death.

That’s the sort of stress Dr. Elvis Francois and Dr. William Robinson have to face every day in the line of duty. Both men are residents in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic, a top-line facility in Minnesota.

Due to the fact they’re still completing their residencies, they’re constantly busy. That didn’t stop them taking time out to do something truly magical in their hospital, one that has quickly gone viral since hitting the internet …

Both Francois and Robinson are talented surgeons with extremely bright futures ahead of them, but that doesn’t mean that they’re not having to deal with a whole heap of problems. As residents, they’re charged with trying to help patients with complex conditions, deal with issues and problems within the surgery as they arise, try and fit in a good night’s sleep and – most importantly – learn a multitude of new things every day.

That’s probably why the pair took a moment to let their hair down and give patients something to smile about within their clinic.

Using a piano and one rather good voice, Dr. Francois and Dr. Robinson gave an impressive rendition of “Alright” by Mike Yung.

It’s no surprise to see that the internet has given a warm welcome to the song, particularly since Dr. Francois appears to have a very powerful set of lungs indeed. In a place where anxiety and stress reign supreme, the two surgeons were a welcome burst of positivity.
