From time to time we’re left to simply marvel at nature; at the flowers that bloom around us and the landscapes that seem so breathtakingly beautiful they almost look painted.
This is one of those times, courtesy of Japan’s largest wisteria plant.
A host of photos are gaining viral attention as people try to grasp the sheer wonderment of the plant in question, located in the Ashikaga Flower Park in Japan.
As per reports, the plant covers an incredible 1,990 square meters (half an acre) of space, meaning that those lucky enough to stand beneath it quite literally feel like they’re staring at a pink sky. This particular wisteria dates back to around 1870.
The vines of the wisteria plant can become understandably heavy, meaning the entire structure of the one in Ashikaga is supported by steel beams that allow visitors to walk under its canopy.
I don’t know about you, but Japan’s just been added to my list of “must-see” places.
Sometimes I’m taken back by the beauty of God’s world. Plants such as this one remind me of the unique power of nature!
