As many states order restaurants to close their doors to customers and only offer takeout or pickup, Burger King is offering a deal that might help parents who might be struggling financially.
The fast food chain announced that they will begin offering two free kids meals with one adult meal, according to Bloomberg.
“There’s a tremendous impact on children, as a result of all the school closures,” Restaurant Brands International CEO Jose Cil told Business Insider. “It’s one of the hardest hit groups of Americans because they rely so significantly on school, for lunch … Monday through Friday, for the better part of the year.”
In order to redeem the offer, customers must order online or through Burger King’s app.
According to reports, the promotion will begin next week and run until supplies last.
Burger King is just one of the latest in the food industry to offer Americans a break. Many food delivery services have stopped collecting commission fees from independent restaurants, while others have implemented contactless delivery.
