Nearly 40 years after starring in the ’80s classic Footloose, Kevin Bacon has proven he’s still got the moves, as does his wife Kyra Sedgwick.
The Hollywood couple recently shared a video of them joining in on the latest TikTok trend, the Footloose Challenge, which involves one person holding their partner by one arm and one leg before dropping them to the beat of the film’s title track by Kenny Loggins.
“I don’t remember this being part of the original #Footloose choreography,” the 63-year-old actor wrote in the caption of his Instagram video.
The pair, who have been married since 1988, pulled the viral move off effortlessly, and even managed to end it with a high five.
For Footloose’s 30th anniversary in 2014, Bacon recreated the iconic dance from the film on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, however he admitted he needed a refresher.
“I had to go and rent the movie on Netflix, literally,” he said. “I didn’t have the movie. I was really overwhelmed.”
It’s understandable as Bacon has starred in countless roles since entering Hollywood when he appeared in National Lampoon’s Animal House.
