Chrissy Teigen’s mom has shared a heart wrenching video of the moment she has to say goodbye to her baby grandson Jack.
Vilailuck, affectionately known as Pepper, posted the video on Instagram showing herself giving her grandson a kiss goodbye and holding him.
Model Chrissy Teigen and her husband John Legend confirmed on Wednesday that they had tragically lost their third child halfway through her pregnancy.
The 34-year-old mom of two was admitted to hospital with severe bleeding.
On Thursday the grandmother shared a video and several pictures of her cradling her grandson in the hospital alongside the words: “My heart aches love you so much baby Jack.”
The family have bravely shared their tragic loss which undoubtedly helps families experiencing the same heartbreak and encourages a conversation about a loss that most women suffer in silence.
Now Chrissy’s mom has highlighted how the loss of a child carries through a family.
The video shows the hospital worker presenting Vilailuck with baby Jack and telling her she can touch him if she’d like to.
An emotional Vilailuck places her hand on him before gently giving him a kiss.
Chrissy revealed she was on serious bed rest due to bleeding and was about halfway through her pregnancy.
She made the heartbreaking announcement that they had lost baby Jack alongside images of her cradling her boy.
“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before,” she posted on Instagram.
“We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.
“Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever.
“To our Jack – I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you.”
My heart goes out to the Teigen/Legend family, to lose a child is an immeasurable loss.
