In many poor countries, it’s not uncommon to see homeless dogs and cats on the streets.
Even though animal advocated try to save as many strays as they can, it’s hard to help all of them.
Luckily, many people are nice to hungry dogs and give them food. But unfortunately, not everyone is as kind.
India is home to several million street dogs. Every day, these dogs struggle to find food and shelter.
They rarely bother anyone but just walk the streets looking for scraps to eat.
When a 4-year-old dog had a litter of eight puppies in front of a woman’s house, the woman was irate.
She picked up the puppies one by one and hit them against stones until they were all dead.
The whole time, the puppies’ mother, Ammu, stood by looking stunned.
After the woman brutally murdered all the puppies, she buried them in a field.
According to the Times of India, the dog desperately wanted to save her dead puppies and ran around as if she was looking for help. But nobody was there to help her.
To teach her a lesson
When asked why she was so heartless, the woman responded that she wanted to teach Ammu a lesson so she would never come near her house again.
Soon the police were called and they arrested the woman. Ammu was so sad that she kept trying to dig up her puppies and nurse them.
If the woman is convicted of the crime, she will get up to five years in prison.
Fortunately, surveillance cameras recorded the whole event.

Writing about the fate of Ammu and her puppies wasn’t been easy, and the tears flowed down my cheeks while I typed.
How could anyone be so heartless?
I really hope that this woman gets the strictest punishment allowed and never gets close to a dog again.
