When a homeowner was away, his vacant house became the target for burglars — or so they thought.
What they didn’t realize is that one family member remained at home…
When Tristan Murrin from Virginia, USA returned home, he first noticed no signs of a break in. But as soon as he opened his front door he was met with a horrific sight — there was blood all over his walls.
At home was Tristan’s German shepherd Oden, who clearly did not appreciated hostile, unwanted guests. The dog had chased the thief or thieves all over the house and bitten them hard.
After going through his valuables, Tristan realized nothing was missing. The burglars had not managed to take anything, rushing from the house as quickly as possible instead to escape from fierce Oden.
“I could not be more proud of him. Such a great breed, that’s why anyone who does not have a dog should consider adopting or buying a dog. German shepherds are a great breed,” Tristan says.
Never bitten anyone
Anyone afraid of dogs might have the wrong idea about a dog’s protective instinct. But Oden has in fact never bitten a soul — and the neighbors knew him and loved to play with him.
“I think the dog did his job. He knew that someone was not supposed to be in my house. So he knew to act upon it,” says Tristan in a television interview.
