A poor little dog named Chunky was kidnapped by three teenagers and then tortured for hours.
The cruel young boys who did it broke his legs and set the dog on fire.
They then dumped him in a trash can, thinking he was dead – but they were wrong.
The horrific story took place in Kent, UK, where three teenage boys, who were high on drugs at the time, kidnapped Chunky from his owners during an evening walk.
The three 16-year-olds not only lack mercy and compassion, but I dare to call them monsters for how they treated this innocent dog.
They beat and abused little Chunky so badly, that they broke two of his legs, his neck, and then set him on fire with a lighter, Metro writes. Afterwards, they dumped the dog in a trash can, thinking he was dead.
But against all odds – the strong little pooch survived.
Chunky was found and was reunited with his owners. The police later tracked the boys down. They were convicted of animal abuse charges and sent to a juvenile detention center.
“‘The whole thing sends shivers down my spine. The defendants may have been young and confessed to being under the influence of drugs but the cruelty they inflicted on this poor dog was extreme, barbaric and inexcusable,” police officer Caroline Doe tells Metro.
The fact that Chunky survived this horrible and heartless incident is a miracle. What’s even more miraculous is that Chunky still shows trust and love towards human beings. Chunky’s family says he is more nervous than he used to be, but continues to be the same loving and happy family dog they know.
This shows us how loving dogs really are – they truly are man’s best friend. Despite everything horrible that happened to Chunky, he still loves his family ❤️
