Now that summer is finally here, many parents are bringing their families to the beach, sending their kids to swimming lessons, or at least letting their little ones turn on the sprinkler and have a water fight. But what about animals? Surely, they need to cool off, too. As temperatures in Alaska hit record highs last summer, Candice Helm, of Eagle River, noticed a mama moose and her twin calves strolling through her neighborhood. And when she saw that they were obviously overheating, she decided to do something special for them. She turned on her front yard sprinkler. “They just strolled around the house and looked really hot,” Helm told local news station KTUU-TV. “So we turned on the sprinklers and they were happy.” And Helm was rewarded well for her kind gesture. She got to see the moose family frolic to their heart’s content. At first it was just the two calves, but after a little, the mama moose just couldn’t help herself. And I had to smile watching her prance about with her two happy babies. Watch the adorable video below!
Wasn’t that the sweetest thing you’ve seen all day? Share it with your friends so they can also see this happy moose family!
