Times are changing and there’s little we can do about it. How we dress has also evolved and standards of modesty have changed. At the end of the day, I personally think that people should be able to dress how they want, as long as they’re not wearing something that sends an offensive message. Older generations however may find it a little more difficult to adapt to such ideals … Or do they? This grandmother thought her teenage granddaughter’s outfit was inappropriate… but the way she reacted was certainly not stupid! The story made me laugh to tears. Great comeback from Grandma!
Here’s how it all went down:
Her teenage granddaughter comes down the stairs and tells her she’s going on a date. All she has on is a transparent shirt — and no bra.
Grandmother is shocked when she sees her grandchild’s blouse. “You don’t seriously dare go out like that!” she shouts loudly and looks sternly at her granddaughter.
“Relax grandma. Times have changed. There is nothing wrong with letting the rosebuds show a bit… ”
The next day, the teenage daughter once again comes down the stairs. To her surprise, she discovers grandma– with no shirt on.
“Grandmother! What are you doing? A couple of my friends are coming over any time now! Please go put some clothes on, I’m so embarrassed!”
Grandma responds: “How come? If you can show off your rosebuds, then I can surely show off my hanging baskets.”
