1-year-old baby survives crash that kills four family members – ‘She is a miracle’

A devastating car crash at the weekend has left a family in Wharton, Texas mourning the loss of four of its members.

According to tragic reports, Fernando Garcia, his brother Daniel, Daniel’s fiancé Dominique, and their 2-and-a-half-year-old son Isaac all perished in the accident. Andres Garcia, brother of Fernando and Daniel, said that Dominique was also 3-months pregnant.

“I never thought I was gonna lose them all,” Andres said, as per reports. “I wish I could hug them, I could hold them one more time.”

It’s said that the family were killed instantly when their vehicle collided with a car that had hydroplaned on a slick street in Wharton, near Houston.

Authorities say the driver of the other vehicle, Jose Magallon, also died at the scene. There was, however, a survivor in the horrific crash; 1-year-old Isabella, who is now recovering from her injuries at Texas Children’s Hospital.

“What’s keeping me sane is the baby. I have to stay strong for her, for my family,” said Andres.

“The doctors say she’s a fighter and she’s doing better than they expected,” he said.

“She is a miracle. She is a miracle.”

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family in the aftermath of the heartbreaking incident. At the time of writing, it has raised over $20,000.

“Baby Bella is a little fighter and is still currently in the hospital. Any donation helps,” the GoFundMe reads.

“If you can’t donate, please pray for baby Bella and the family.”

My thoughts and prayers go out to the loved ones of the victims of this crash. May the fallen rest in peace.
