If you were not watching this video and just hearing the sound of the music instead, you might have a hard time believing that the music happens to be played by a 9-year-old. When it comes to playing the harp, Alisa Sadikova is in fact a prodigy. She took the stage Dec. 12, 2012 at the International Winter Festival in St Petersburg and performed a piece of music that can only be described by one word: heavenly. Among those sitting in the audience that day was world-famous harpist Olga Shevelevich. She was impressed with Alisa’s performance and immediately recognized that the young girl had something extraordinary. “I was astonished. Only a genius can do what she does,” said Shevelevich who is now one of Sadikova’s music teachers. I can’t agree more! Listen for yourself below.
