Sixteen-year-old Sofija Magerko had always dreamed of becoming famous. She had lots of followers at Instagram and even competed in beauty contests, writes The Independent.
She loved to party and used to hit the clubs with her friend Dasha Medvedeva, 24.
Recently, Sofija and Dasha were out on the town. Dasha drove so the girls could safely get to and from town. During the course of the evening, the two girls diligently updated their followers on Instagram by posting pictures of themselves.
After spending some time at one club, they got in the car and headed toward the next one. Along the way, they livestreamed a video to their fans from the car.
The two girls listened to music, drank alcohol, and waved to the camera. They were probably aware of the danger, but just like many other young people, they never thought anything would happen to them. They were immortal.
In the video, the girls are seen laughing, and one of them says, “Hey, boys!”
Then suddenly, everything was over. There was a loud bang and then everything went quiet.
One second of distraction and it was over. Dasha had probably been caught up in making the video and drove straight into a lamp post.
Soon, two men arrived at the scene. When they saw the terrible accident, they called for help. But for Sofija, it was already late.
Dasha survived the crash but died on the way to the hospital.
The accident occurred in Izyum, Ukraine. Sofija was famous as a beauty queen throughout the country.
Watch the girls’ tragic video here, but be warned. It’s difficult to watch.
