Mom-of-5 leaves behind miracle quadruplets after dying from coronavirus

A mom-of-five has died from coronavirus, leaving behind her 13-year-old miracle quadruplets.

As per reports, Shabnum Shadiq was a counsellor representing the Labour party in England. The 39-year-old died on Monday following complications relating to COVID-19.

Shabnum had traveled to Pakistan in early March to attend a wedding. Just five days into the trip, however, she contracted coronavirus.

A friend revealed how she was placed on a ventilator after struggling to breathe. She spent 24 days locked in a battle with the virus but sadly passed away.

Fellow Labour representative Cllr Haqeeq Dar said: “She was always active but it’s just one of those things. It’s a tragedy. She only went to attend a wedding in early March on a short, eight-day trip.

“But she never came back. She was only there for five days when she contracted the virus.

“I just can’t believe that she’s gone.”

Back in 2006, Shabnum gave birth to quadruplets, beating odds of 729,000 to one odds in producing naturally conceived quads.

The mom is survived by her husband and five children, who are no doubt reeling with shock at this terrible time.

Despite stringent restriction measures, coronavirus continues to rip through local communities, leaving a trail of death and devastation in its wake. Only through supporting one another and following the safety guidelines can we hope to get through this.

Rest in peace, Shabnum, our thoughts and prayers go out to your family.
