If, like me, you’re a fan of desserts, the search for the next tasty treat is never ending.
Whilst there are a hundred thousand cakes, biscuits and creams I could recommend, I think it’s time I shared a discovery I recently stumbled upon.
It was a friend at my office who recommended giving them a try, so together with my kids I made a batch that very weekend. To say they were popular is an understatement; it wasn’t even Monday before they were asking for more to take into school for their friends.
Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, I give to you … caramel snickerdoodles.
Here’s what you need:
- 1 tube of crescent roll dough
- Caramel candies (one for each doodle you’re making)
- 1 cup of cinnamon/sugar
Yep, it really is that simple. So, what to do?
Instructions
You start with – in my humble opinion – one of best inventions ever conjured: Premade crescent roll dough.
Add a piece of caramel to each piece of dough and roll them into balls, like so …
Take the balls and roll them in your cinnamon sugar until they have a nice, plentiful coating.
Then, pop them in the oven for 12 minutes at 350 degrees and you should be left with some of the most irresistibly gooey treats known to the human race. Yeah, sure, I might be biased on account of writing the article, but seriously … these things will take over your life if you let them.
Confused at all? Not sure exactly how to make them? Follow the steps in the video below to make it easier:
Everybody needs a new treat every once in a while.
If these look good – or indeed you’ve tried and love them – share this article on Facebook and give your family and friends something tasty.
