Taking care of our elderly grandparents and showing them appreciation should be a given. After all, they’re the ones who created the world we live in. But sadly, not everyone takes the time to help or cherish our elders. Which is why 23-year-old Jarryd Stoneman from New Zealand is such an inspiration to us all. Jarryd takes care of his 93-year-old great-grandmother—and he does it with great honor. Now, this clip of Jarryd dancing with his great-grandmother is being shared all around the world, with millions watching the tearjerking clip. See for yourself below.
Jarryd’s great-grandmother Katie has had Alzheimer’s for the past 12 years. Earlier Jarryd’s mother took care of her, but when she was ill and too busy with work, Jarryd took over.
“Every morning I go in there and say good morning, turn the radio on. But that morning I asked her for a dance, and I just thought I would record it.” Jarryd told the New Zealand Herald. “Mum raised me but she was always there, she’s always been a big part of my life from the beginning.
