Now one senior citizen has realized her dream at 98-years-old when her grandson-in-law, contemporary country crooner Josh Turner, recently called her onto the famous stage. At 98, Lois Cunningham’s Grand Ole Opry debut was perfect. After she took her seat at center stage, Lois treated the crowd to a touching performance of the famous hymn, “How Great Thou Art.” Even before her first note, hearts were melting, and by the time the audience gave her a well-deserved standing ovation, I was holding back tears.
