We all hope that our children will become good, caring people in the world. There are not many children who would go out of their way to help their parents at such a young age, but this young lady might be the exception.
In China, a video of a little girl placing a jacket over her father’s shoulders as he plans the menu for their family’s restaurant has gone viral.
A clip shared by People magazine on Instagram shows a man slumped over a counter sleeping. The man, named Wang, apparently fell asleep while working on the menu.
His young daughter, clearly seeing him asleep from his hard work, comes over to gently lay a jacket on his shoulders.
In the video, Wang wakes up and notices the jacket. He immediately begins to cry when he sees it.
“He was so moved and burst into tears thinking of the difficulty of running the restaurant during the pandemic,” the video’s reads.
People were understandably moved by the intimate moment, especially as everyone still feels the effects of their own fatigue from work and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Users commented commending the young girl on Instagram.
“We see you papa. You’ll always be her hero,” one said.
Another commented, “Take a break, daughter knows you’re working for her.”
We can only hope that we all have children and grandchildren who have this much empathy and care at such a young age!
