Steve Irwin’s family surely keeps his memories alive by immersing themselves in the same career as the late zoo-keeper and wildlife expert.
The latest addition to the clan is little Grace Warrior and she also seems to be following in the same footsteps.
Late wildlife expert and dubbed “The Crocodile Hunter,” Steve Irwin’s daughter Bindi Irwin took after her dad. The now 24-year-old is also a zoo keeper and conservationist just like her late father.
Bindi married wakeboarded Chandler Powell in 2020, and on the first anniversary of their wedding, they were already parents to a wonderful little baby girl.
Their daughter arrived on March 25, 2021. They named her Grace Warrior Powell. Bindi took to Instagram to talk about her newborn daughter. She wrote, “Our graceful warrior is the most beautiful light. Grace is named after my great-grandmother, and relatives in Chandler’s family dating back to the 1700s. Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior. Her last name is Powell and she already has such a kind soul just like her dad.”
Now their daughter is a 16-month-old bustling toddler who is already proving to have an affinity for animals like the rest of her family!
This week, Chandler Powell posted another adorable picture to give us a glimpse into the young family’s life. He posted an adorable selfie of the three of them in all matching khaki outfits.
While the young couple wears their regular uniform for the Australia Zoo, a khaki button-down each, little baby Grace looks incredibly cute in a khaki jumper with a collar. She resembles her late grandfather and legend Steve Irwin.
While little Grace Warrior was never able to meet her grandfather, Bindi shared earlier last week how Grace recognizes pictures of him, and how they refer to him as “Grandpa Crocodile.”
In the caption of the photo of the young family in matching khaki, Powell praised his lovely wife. He wrote, “Taking a moment to appreciate the strongest, bravest and kindest person I know, @bindisueirwin,” he writes. “Grace and I both got so lucky to have you in our lives. No matter what, we can always count on you. We appreciate everything you do day in and day out. You are one tough mama and we love you so much❤️.”
His wife replied in the comments, “I love you with all my heart.”
The young couple loves animals and their daughter seems to have similar feelings for them. They post a lot of content related to animals, and their daughter’s reactions and interactions with animals.
Just last week, Powell posted a selfie of little Grace as she spotted a mob of kangaroos. He captioned the picture, ‘Our “we spotted a mob of kangaroos” faces.’
The couple really enjoys introducing their little girl to the animal kingdom. In fact, she has been exposed to animals since the day she was born. Bindi posted pictures of a newborn Grave with her grandmother Terry Irwin, being introduced to chickens.
The Irwin-Powells sure are an adorable family. Just looking at their wholesome interactions with one another and with animals can melt your heart.
It is so heartwarming to see how the family keeps memories of Steve Irwin alive and also honors him in every way possible.
