2 1/2 teaspoons of rapid rise dry yeast
4 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
For the filling:
1/2 cup softened butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons cinnamon
For the frosting:
16 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup softened butter
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Pour the warm milk, eggs, melted butter, flour, sugar, and yeast into a breadmaker or large bowl.
2. Knead the dough, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it rise for 30 minutes.
3. In the meantime, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon.
4. Next, roll the dough flat.
5. Brush the softened butter on top of the dough…
6. … and then sprinkle it with brown sugar and cinnamon.
7. Roll up the dough.
8. Now, for the special trick. Tie the dental floss around the dough and pull tight…
9. You’ll get perfect cuts without losing the shape of each cinnamon roll.
10. Next, place the rolls in a lightly greased baking pan and bake at 400F or 200C for 15 minutes.
11. While you’re waiting, whip together the frosting with the cream cheese, melted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
12. Remove the buns from the oven, cover them with frosting, and your mouthwatering treats are ready!
